Architecture dictionary

Derives the source and destination modules for each flow in a system by looking at the DFDs. It also keeps track of the channels (or interconnects) via which data passes.

To understand the usage of the architecture dictionary, consider the following AFD:

The flow 'product type' connects the 'input module' and the  'selection module' but also the 'selection module' and the 'dispense module'.

In the architecture dictionary shown below it is possible to define the channel used by a data flow (in the example product_type) to go from one module to another
