Dear participant to ICIAP2001, here are some information on how to reach Mondello, where the conference will be held at Splendid Hotel La Torre.
You can find taxi ranks at the Airport, the Central Railway Station, and main squares and streets of the town. The following economical fares are applied by these two different companies. Do not forget to specify that you are taking part in ICIAP2001.

Central Railway Station - Mondello (Hotel La Torre): 35000 Lit.
Not predefined routes: a 10% discount on a price above 10000 Lit.
No surcharge is needed for luggage or holiday and snight calls.
AutoradioTaxi (Tel. 091513311)
Central Railway Station - Mondello: 25000 Lit.
Airport - Mondello: 60000 Lit.
A surcharge is needed for
each suburban Km: 1000 Lit.
holidays and night calls: 2500 Lit.
Coach connections between the Airport and Palermo are available about every 30 minutes. Terminals are at the Central Railway Station and at Ruggero Settimo square (in front of the Politeama Theatre). The single ticket fare is 9000 Lit.
It's very easy to reach Ruggero Settimo square from the Central Railway Station: get buses number 101 and 102 which are very frequent. The single ticket fare is 1500 Lit, but it lasts 90 minutes so you can use it to go to Mondello (see below).
If you prefer to reach the conference venue by bus, you have to get the bus number 806, available every 10 minutes from 4:00 a.m. to midnight, at via Turati (near Ruggero Settimo square) and to alight at the Mondello Torre terminal (near Hotel La Torre). The single ticket fare is 1500 Lit.
